What warranty protection do I have in Arizona?
The state deadlines for reporting problems, and how the recovery fund works.

Deadlines to file
Arizona's Office of Manufactured Housing sets these windows: cosmetic issues on new homes, 120 days from installation; general warranty or defect complaints, 1 year from sale or installation, whichever is later; a dealer's failure to perform warranty repairs, up to 2 years.
How to file
Put your complaint in writing to the retailer or manufacturer first. The Department also accepts complaints directly. It reviews the claim, decides dealer responsibility and issues a Verified Complaint & Sign-Off Form.
The Consumer Recovery Fund
If the dealer doesn't make it right, Arizona's Consumer Recovery Fund can cover actual damages (not attorney fees) for claims filed within the windows above, through a hearing at the Office of Administrative Hearings.
Bottom line
Get warranty terms in writing when you buy, and act inside these windows. Waiting too long can forfeit your right to the recovery fund.
